Raj Thackeray Leaves Out PM Narendra Modi, Invites Rahul Gandhi, Sushma Swaraj, LK Advani And Others For Son's Wedding

Mumbai, January 14: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray has invited almost all leaders of national politics except for Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his son's wedding. Thackeray, who has been vocal in his criticism of Modi and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah, has invited the party's veteran leader LK Advani and also ministers in the Modi government.

Among those invited for Thackeray's son Amit Thackeray's wedding are Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari, Rajnath Singh, Sushma Swaraj, Prakash Jawadekar, Dharmendra Pradhan and Maneka Gandhi. Also on the guest list are Congress President Rahul Gandhi and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi. Assembly Elections 2018 Results: ‘Pappu’ Has Become ‘Param Pujya’, Says Raj Thackeray on Rahul Gandhi.

Amit Thackeray is set to get married to Mitali Borude, the daughter of Dr Sanjay Borude, on January 27 at St Regis hotel in Mumbai's Lower Parel.

Last year, during a press meet, Thackeray was asked whether he would invite Modi for his son's wedding. To this, Thackeray had said, “Does Modi believe in the institution of marriage?” No invite has been sent to PM Modi for the wedding yet.
