New Delhi, April 26: Congress president Rahul Gandhi's flight journey to Patna on Friday was not that smooth as he expected. Gandhi boarded an eight-seater hawker plane to reach Patna so that he could address a political rally, but the flight developed a technical glitch and he had to return to New Delhi.
According to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the flight of Congress president developed a technical snag in the fixed wing eight-seater aircraft after it took off and soon had to return back to the Delhi Airport. Meanwhile, Gandhi took to Twitter to inform about the incident and apologised for his delayed schedule of political rallies in Samastipur (Bihar), Balasore (Orissa) & Sangamner (Maharashtra). He wrote, "Engine trouble on our flight to Patna today! We’ve been forced to return to Delhi. Today’s meetings in Samastipur (Bihar), Balasore (Orissa) & Sangamner (Maharashtra) will run late. Apologies for the inconvenience."

However, Gandhi in the meantime has boarded another flight to address his political rally in Bihar and other parts of the country ahead of the fourth phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2019.
