New Delhi, July 22: Congress President Rahul Gandhi, beginning from where he left in Parliament during the No-Confidence Motion speech, once again targeted Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the RAFALE missile deals, this time on Twitter. The Congress President also said that the Defence Minister "flip-flops" on the issue of secrecy of the RAFALE deals.

Gandhi was also critical of the Prime Minister and said that, "The PM squirms when asked about the price of RAFALE and refuses to look me in the eye." He also added that it sure "smells like a scam." Check the tweet by Rahul Gandhi below:

Not the one to be left behind, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) responded immediately by tweeting a political cartoon, drawing inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech in his reply on the No-Confidence Motion by the opposition. The Prime Minister had said that he wished all the best to the Congress and opposition for the No-Confidence Motion in the year 2024, implying that BJP led NDA would be in power even after the 2019 elections. Check the BJP cartoon mocking the No-Confidence Motion and vote:

The BJP and allies defeated the no-trust vote with 325 MPs voting against it, whereas, 126 voting in favour. The No-Confidence Motion saw a lot of drama and debate as Congress President Rahul Gandhi, after his searing speech, walked across the aisle and hugged Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Prime Minister, in his reply to the No- Confidence Motion introduced by TDP and supported by Congress and opposition, said that the tactics was to grab power and that nobody but only the people of the country can dislodge him from the Prime Minister's seat.
