New Delhi, January 3: After a heated debate on the Rafale deal in Lok Sabha on Wednesday, Congress president Rahul Gandhi again challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi through his Twitter handle. Rahul Gandhi posed four questions to PM Modi on the Rafale deal. But in his tweet, something appeared amiss. The third question was missing from his tweet.
"Tomorrow, the PM faces an Open Book #RafaleDeal Exam in Parliament. Here are the exam questions in advance: Q1. Why 36 aircraft, instead of the 126 the IAF needed? Q2. Why 1,600 Cr instead of 560 Cr per aircraft. Q4. Why AA instead of HAL? Will he show up? Or send a proxy?" Gandhi tweeted. Netizens were quick to notice what was missing from Gandhi's tweet and started making fun of him. Among those who were mocking the Congress chief was defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman. "A student who fails in the classroom boasts and challenges from outside," she tweeted retweeting Gandhi's tweet. A few hours later Rahul Gandhi made a comeback with a twist.
In another tweet, Gandhi said his third question was about an audio tape which the Congress claimed is of Goa cabinet minister Vishwajit Rane. In the audio clip, Rane is purportedly claiming that chief minister Manohar Parrikar was holding the Modi government to ransom as all files related to the Rafale deal are in his bedroom.
"The Missing Q3! I had held back Q3 because Madam Speaker had said, “no talking about the Goa tape”! But the missing Q3 has become as controversial as Rafale:) So on popular demand: Q3. Modi Ji, please tell us why Parrikar Ji keeps a Rafale file in his bedroom & what’s in it?" Gandhi said in another tweet.

The Congress president sought permission from Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan to play the audio clip in the House. Mahajan said she can allow it only if Gandhi is ready to authenticate the recording.
