Mumbai, May 3: Congress President Rahul Gandhi is confident that Narendra Modi won't be the Prime Minister after the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 results are out on May 23. In two interviews to NDTV and India Today, Gandhi said that a Congress-led UPA government would be formed after the General Elections 2019 are over. In his interview to NDTV, Gandhi said the Congress party was winning the 2019 polls 'hands down'. Rahul Gandhi Gets Clean Chit by Election Commission Over Allegation of Violation of Model Code Conduct.

In the interview with India Today, when asked about whether the Congress had a plan on national security with the Bharatiya Janata Party making it the top agenda this election, Gandhi said, "Pakistan’s support of terrorism is something that we will fight 100 per cent and make sure it isn’t allowed to get away with supporting terror in our country. But I also want the PM to answer how 45 CRPF men died. I understand that Pakistan wants to carry out terror attacks, but is the PM not responsible for protecting Indian soldiers?" Lok Sabha Elections 2019: Narendra Modi Not Coming Back to Power, We are Winning Polls, Says Rahul Gandhi.

During the interview, he also reiterated that the Congress would initiate an inquiry into the Rafale deal if it comes to power. "There has to be an answer to how the world’s biggest defence contract has been handed over to someone who has never built an aircraft," he added.

On a question about whether the NYAY scheme was feasible, Gandhi said, "NYAY will jump-start our economy. And not a rupee will come out of your taxes. It’ll come from present revenue streams and monetisation of government assets."

On the Congress parties failure on getting alliances in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi, Gandhi said that the "sole aim remains to defeat the BJP."

In the detailed interview, Gandhi spoke on several topics including Kashmir, demonetisation, surgical strikes, the decision to contest from Wayanad, making Priyanka Gandhi the Congress General Secretary, mangoes or no mangoes and much more.

To a question on him being called a dynast, a 'naamdaar' by PM Narendra Modi, Gandhi said, "Members of my family have been in politics, but their experience is not my experience. My experience has been of tremendous battles and violence. I’ve seen my father and grandmother get killed, I have seen elections being won and lost. How can you encapsulate my entire experience in one word? Understand me for what I am. Listen to me carefully and judge me for what I am."
