Rahul Gandhi Opponents Create 'Made in Amethi' Website With Porn Star Mia Khalifa as Its Brand Ambassador
A spoof website called 'Made in Amethi' has been created on October 4 to mock Rahul Gandhi’s constant references to ‘Made in…’ in his rally speeches.
New Delhi, October 8: The political opponents of Congress president Rahul Gandhi have stepped up their online attack with parodies ahead of elections in five states. A spoof website called 'Made in Amethi' has been created on October 4 to mock Rahul Gandhi’s constant references to ‘Made in…’ in his rally speeches. The makers present porn star Mia Khalifa as the website's brand ambassador.
The parody website - www.madeinamethi.com - says Rahul Gandhi is the CEO whose dream is "to setup (sic) so many mobile factories in India that the number of phones surpass the number of phone users". The portal has sections such as 'Board of Dictators' and 'Uneventful Events'. It invites people for fake ‘Made in Jabalpur phones’ event on October 6 and a ‘Made in Indore’ event on October 15.
Intrestingly, Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit Jabalpur for Narmada Puja at Gwari Ghat on October 6 and will campaign in Indore on October 15. The 'Made in Amethi' reference is derived from Gandhi's 'Made in...' element through which he promises to promote India-made products. In September, the Congress leader had said that he was waiting for the day when a Chinese takes a selfie on a phone that’s ‘Made in Chitrakoot’. Chouhan Hits Back at Rahul's 'Made in Chitrakoot' Remark.
The 'Board of Dictators' section takes dig at Lok Sabha MP Jyotiraditya Scindia, Rajasthan state Congress chief Sachin Pilot and former union minister Shashi Tharoor. It mocks Scindia and Pilot for being political dynasts, and calls Tharoor a megician "who can make women disappear as soon as he see a more beautiful one". The website is reportedly created by some BJP members from Madhya Pradesh which will go to polls on November 28.
In the fake testimonial, Mia Khalifa says she is proud of being the brand ambassador of the website. She says MIA in her name stand for 'Made in Amethi'.
