Thiruvanthapuram, November 25: A missing complaint was filed by a Yuva Morcha leader at the Edakkad police station in Kerala’s Malappuram district for tracing Congress leader Rahul Gandhi after he recently became inactive on social media. Yuva Morcha state Secretary Aji Thomas in his complaint, mentioned that he was concerned over social media reports which claimed that Gandhi had gone missing. According to a report published in CNN News 18, the complainant requested the police to consider his petition. He also asked the authorities to find the Waynad MP and inform him. In his complaint, Thomas said, “The absence of Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi s/o Rajeev Gandhi, in his constituency and while the parliament session is in progress, draws attention. Social Media reports suggest that he is missing. Being a voter and a citizen in his constituency, I'm really concerned about this.” However, it is not clear, whether police will register FIR based on the complaint.
Meanwhile, after remaining silent on the Maharashtra political turmoil for weeks, the Congress MP finally broke silence on Monday. Speaking in Lok Sabha, Gandhi said that democracy had been murdered in Maharashtra. He made these remarks during Question Hour when Speaker Om Birla told him to ask a supplementary.
