New Delhi, October 27: Congress President Rahul Gandhi met a group of ex-servicemen on Saturday and said that a Congress-led government would fulfil all the commitments the party had made on the ‘one rank, one pension’ (OROP) issue. The Congress President, while talking to the media, was seen along with several retired defence personnel. Gandhi said that if his party is voted to power in the 2019 parliamentary election, it will fulfil their demands, including ‘one rank, one pension’ (OROP).

Rahul Gandhi kept up his attack on the Narendra Modi led government for alleged irregularity in the Rafale deal. The Congress President said that issues such as the situation in Jammu and Kashmir, and said that price for the "wrong non-strategic approach of the government" was being paid by our soldiers. Gandhi emphasized on the Rafale deal and said that there is a "connection" between the lack of implementation in OROP and Rafale deal irregularity. "Anil Ambani can be given Rs 30,000 crore for doing nothing, but our soldiers can't be given OROP," said the Congress President.
