Rahul Gandhi Hits Out at PM Narendra Modi at Patna Rally, Says 'Rs 17 Per Day Income Support is Insult of Farmers'

Patna, February 3: Congress president Rahul Gandhi while addressing a rally at Gandhi Maidan in Patna on Sunday launched a scathing attack at the Narendra Modi government over the interim budget presented by Union Minister Piyush Goyal. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav was also present at the Congress’ Jan Akanksha rally. The Congress president while taking a dig at the central government said the government gave Rs 17 per day to poor farmers, while giving 30,000 crore to Anil Ambani in the Rafale Deal. Talking on the Rafale deal, the Congress president said that PM Narendra Modi purchased Rafale jets at a higher price. He also alleged that the government benefitted Anil Ambani’s reliance Naval and Engeeniring Limited by giving the offset contract worth Rs 30,000 to the firm instead of state-owned Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). During the rally, the Congress president promised to elevate Patna University to a central university if his party come to power. He also said that PM Modi was unable to provide jobs to youth.

Meanwhile, the RJD leader said that Gandhi, has the ability to be the prime minister and termed PM Modi as the seller of lies. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath and Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel and Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot were also present at the rally.
