Rahul Gandhi Fires 'Murder-Accused' Barb at Amit Shah, Calls Son Jay Shah 'Magician'

Amit Shah was among the prime accused in the murder cases of Sohrabuddin Sheikh and Tulsiram Prajapati. He has been acquitted in both the cases.

Bhopal, April 23: In a stinging attack against his BJP counterpart, Congress president Rahul Gandhi called Amit Shah a "murder-accused" while addressing a poll rally in Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur. The Gandhi scion followed it up with another barb against the BJP chief, by targeting the his son Jay Shah's business deals.

"Murder accused BJP President Amit Shah....Murder Accused. What glory he holds. Have you heard Jay Shah's name? He is a magician, he made Rs 50,000 into Rs 80 crore in 3 months," Gandhi told the gathering of Congress supporters and workers. Amit Shah Has Net Worth of Rs 53.9 Lakh, Wife's Income Grew 16-Fold in 5 Years.

Amit Shah was among the prime accused in the murder cases of Sohrabuddin Sheikh and Tulsiram Prajapati. When the investigators filed the charge against him, the BJP veteran was the Home Minister of Gujarat.

In December 2014, a Special CBI Court discharged Shah from both the fake encounter cases citing lack of evidence.

The controversy around Jay Shah erupted in December 2017, after a report alleged that the BJP president's son's income grew from Rs 50,000 to Rs 80 crore after Modi was elected to power at the Centre.
