New Delhi, October 30: Congress President Rahul Gandhi launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during his election rally in Madhya Pradesh's Jhabua on Tuesday. Gandhi stated that BJP is such a corrupt party that he got confused which scam was Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan involved in. "BJP mein itna brashtachaar hai ki main kal confuse ho gaya tha. Madhya Pradesh ke CM ne Panama nahi kiya, unhone to e-tendering aur Vyapam scam kiye hain", Gandhi was quoted by ANI.

Gandhi's statement comes a day after his earlier remark that MP CM's son was named in Panama papers. During his address in Madhya Pradesh's Jhabua town on Monday, Gandhi said the Chouhan's son's name had surfaced in the Panama papers, but no action was taken. Gandhi went on saying further that even a country like Pakistan punished its former PM when he was named in the Panama papers. Anguished by Gandhi's remarks, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister said he may file a defamation complaint against the Congress president for levelling "false" allegations against him and his family members during his rallies. Chouhan took to Twitter and said, "Mr Rahul Gandhi, you have been making patently false allegations of Vyapam to Panama Papers against me and my family. Tomorrow, I am filing a criminal defamation suit for maximum damages against you for frivolous and malafide statements. Let the law take its own course now.

According to a report by ABP News, Chouhan said Gandhi has crossed all limits by involving his son Kartikey Chouhan's name in Panama Papers leak case.

According to the report, Chouhan's son also took a dig at Gandhi and demanded an apology from the Congress chief within 48 hours and said legal action would be taken if he doesn't apologise.
