Ranchi, March 2: Congress President Rahul Gandhi, speaking at a rally in Ranchi, Jharkhand, once again tried to corner PM Modi over the Rafale deal and said on Saturday that while the Air Force protects the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stole its Rs 30,000 crore to give it to Anil Ambani. Gandhi attacked PM Modi personally after taking a jibe at the Prime Minister saying, "Accha mujhe ek baat samjhao, in sab choro ke naam Modi kyun hain? Lalit Modi, Nirav Modi, Narendra Modi," (Tell me one thing, why do all these robbers have the name Modi? Lalit Modi, Nirav Modi, Narendra Modi). Talking on the farm loan waiver by Congress in the states of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan as promised before the 2018 elections in the state, Gandhi said that, “Prime Minister Modi can waive off the loans of his 15 friends but cannot do the same for poor, farmers and others. He has waived a loan of Rs 3.5 lakh crore of his 15 friends, but that amount does not include the waiver of any farmer or poor. We waived off the loans of farmers in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan within 10 days of coming to power(sic),” he said. Recounting the welfare centric initiatives introduced by the Congress party before the people, Gandhi said: “Congress introduced the Land Acquisition Bill, and Tribal Rights Act to protect illegal acquisition of Adivasi land.”

“There were protests in Niyamgiri and Bhatta Parsaul. We stood with the Tribal community and introduced the Tribal Rights Act. When Modi came to power, the first thing he did was to weaken these laws,” he said. Talking about the prospects of Congress party in the coming Lok Sabha polls in the state of Jharkhand, Rahul thundered, “Our alliance is going to win all 14 seats in the coming Lok Sabha elections.”

“We are going to win all 14 Lok Sabha seats in the state. In the coming Lok Sabha polls, we are going to remove the ‘Chowkidaar’ from power in Delhi. Congress party, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), and Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) have come together to defeat the BJP in the poll,” said Gandhi before signing off.
