New Delhi, February 14: Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday condemned the cowardly attack on the CRPF convoy in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district. He also said that his condolences are with the families of the martyred, and prayed for speedy recovery of the injured.

Jaish-e-Mohammed took responsibility of the blast that claimed 18 lives of military personnel. Around 70 vehicles with more than 2500 CRPF Personnel was on its to Jammu via Srinagar-Jammu Highway. An IED explosion took place near a vehicle which claimed more than 18 lives. This attack can be stated as the biggest terrorist attack of 2019. In the past, Uri attack was the biggest, claiming 17 lives of soldiers. Jammu And Kashmir: 18 CRPF Jawans Martyred in JeM Attack in Awantipora.

Delhi Chief Minister and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal also condemned the terror attack on his social media handle. Stating the attack as extremely shocking the Chief Minister tweeted, "Extremely shocking... I strongly condemn the terror attack on CRPF convoy in which many casualties are feared. India must stand united in this moment of grief."
