New Delhi, November 13: Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday trained his guns again at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, claiming that the sealed document submitted before the Supreme Court suggests irregularity in the Rafale fighter jets deal.

The Gandhi scion shared a news report which accessed the details of the document submitted by the Centre before the bench hearing the petition seeking inquiry into the Rafale deal. The report, citing the document, alleges that the Prime Minister had not consulted with the Indian Air Force before amending the erstwhile deal signed with Dassault Aviation. 'I Don't Lie, Anil Ambani's Firm Was Our Choice', Says Dassault CEO.

As per the new deal, 3 fighter jets were to be procured, as against the 126 aircrafts under the UPA-era pact.

Reiterating the "chor jibe" against PM Modi, here is what Rahul Gandhi tweeted:

"Narendra Modi admits his theft before the Supreme Court. In the document submitted before the Supreme Court, he has agreed that the Air Force was not consulted before amending the Rafale deal," the Congress chief said.

Notably, the documents entailing the Centre's reply to the petition was submitted in a sealed cover. A copy of the details were only shared with the petitioners. Rahul Gandhi's fresh tirade is based on a report which cites the details shared by one of the petitioners.
