Patna, May 8: With Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi stirring a row by referring Prime Minister Narendra Modi as 'Duryodhana' of modern India, Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Rabri Devi has called PM Modi as 'Jallad' (public executioner).

Expressing her opinion on the 'Duryodhana' name pointed by Gandhi, the RJD leader said, "Unhone Duryodhan bol ke galat kiya hai, doosra bhasha bolna chahiye unko, vo sab to jallad hain, jallad. Jo judge ko aur patrakar ko marwa deta hai, uthwa leta hai. Aise aadmi ka mann aur vichaar kaisa hoga, khoonkar hoga (She did wrong in referring him as Duryodhan, he is a jallad... One who got killed a judge and a reporter, abducts them. What would be the thoughts of this kind of man..it would be dangerous)." Priyanka Gandhi Vadra Says PM Narendra Modi Will Be Defeated Because of Ego ‘Like Duryodhana’, BJP Replies 'May 23 will Decide'.

Earlier, the Congress general secretary in a rally in Haryana's Ambala compared Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Duryodhana and said the eldest of the Kauravas had also a lot of egos which became the reason for his defeat.

She had said, "The BJP leaders never in their poll campaign say whether they fulfilled their promise or not. They seek a vote in the name of martyrs or the martyr (Rajiv Gandhi) of my family. Duryodhana had also lots of ego and his ego was the reason for his defeat."

Reacting to Gandhi's comments, BJP chief Amit Shah had said, "Priyanka Vadra just called PM Modi 'Duryodhana', Priyanka Ji this is a democracy, nobody becomes 'Duryodhana' just because you called them so. We will find out on May 23 who is 'Duryodhana and who is 'Arjuna'."
