Lucknow, March 19: Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday visited Vindhyavasini Devi temple in Uttar Pradesh's Mirzapur as part of her 'Ganga Yatra'. While Congress supporters are filled with enthusiasm with Priyanka Gandhi's arrival in active politics, a very different scene played out just outside the temple with many people chanting slogans in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

When Priyanka Gandhi was offering prayers at Vindhyavasini Devi temple, a group of men and women was chanting 'Modi, Modi' outside the temple. In the video, chants of 'Modi, Modi' can be heard outside the temple. After offering prayers at the temple, Priyanka also visited Dargah of Khwaja Janab Ismail Chisti. A similar incident happened with Priyanka's brother and Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Monday. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra Makes Debut on Instagram Ahead of Lok Sabha Elections 2019.

Rahul Gandhi’s visit to the Manyata Tech Park saw hundreds of the city’s techies interact with him and discuss their issues. For those who did not get a chance to go inside, however, a very different scene played out just a few meters outside the Amphitheatre with many people chanting 'Modi, Modi'. A stampede-like situation was witnessed when those who were not part of the selected invitees, still thronged the venue.

Earlier today, Priyanka said the ground reality was different than what the Uttar Pradesh government has been portraying and there is an expiry date to the rant that nothing was done in the past 70 years. The Congress in-charge of east UP was responding to a question about the Adityanath government issuing its report card on completion of two years in office, in which it highlighted various achievements and welfare schemes.

"They (BJP) need to come to the ground to see the reality. This report card and publicity look good, but the reality is different… all sections are feeling harassed," she said at the Sitamarhi guest house in Uttar Pradesh’s Bhadohi district, where she had a night halt.

"There is a big difference between polls promises and fulfilling them. As far as the rant about (no development in) 70 years is concerned, it also has an expiry date. You (BJP) are in the government for the past five years, what have you done in five years?" the Congress leader asked.
