Lucknow, March 27: The general secretary of the AICC in charge of eastern Uttar Pradesh, Priyanka Gandhi on Wednesday said that she can contest the elections if the Congress wants. According to reports, younger Gandhi could contest from Uttar Pradesh's Raebareli, from her mother Sonia Gandhi's constituency, which she has been nurturing for years. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Speaking to ANI, on being asked if she will contest in Lok Sabha Elections 2019, said, "I've not decided yet; If my party asks me to contest, I will definitely contest. My wish is to work for the party."

Elections in Uttar Pradesh are scheduled to start from April 11. The election in the northern state will take place in seven phases from April 11 to May 19. The Counting of votes will take place on May 23, 2019.
