Lucknow, July 17: Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was stopped from meeting the families of Sonbhadra massacre on Friday, and forced to stay at the Chunar guest house. However, Priyanka Gandhi insisted on meeting the families of the victims and said that she will visit and meet the bereaved families. Meanwhile, Congress workers alleged that there was deliberate power cut at Chunar Guest House by the administration. Meanwhile, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Congress party workers continued to sit on dharna at Chunar Guest House. The Congress general secretary in-charge of Uttar Pradesh East was on Friday detained and stopped from going to Sonbhadra, where 10 people were gunned down this week.
Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi's husband Robert Vadra Friday lashed out at the Uttar Pradesh government for detaining his wife, saying the dispensation should immediately release her and not let democracy turn into dictatorship.
