Earlier in the day, the Congress general secretary also made her debut on micro-blogging site Twitter to interact directly with the masses. Today, reports also surfaced that after the entry of Priyanka into the politics, Mayawati led-Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Akhilesh Yadav's Samajwadi Party are reconsidering the alliance with Congress.
Priyanka, sister of Congress president Rahul Gandhi, has been away from electoral politics so far. Priyanka Gandhi has restricted her political activities to Amethi and Rae Bareli, parliamentary seats held by Rahul and her mother Sonia respectively. She also campaigned in 2017 assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh, but the party did not fare well.
