The Prithla Vidhan Sabha constituency lies in the Faridabad district and Parliamentary constituency of Haryana. Independent candidate Nayan Pal Rawat won the seat as Haryana Assembly Elections 2019 results were declared on Thursday. Rawat defeated Raghubir Tewatia of the Congress by 16429 votes. Voting in Prithla for Haryana Assembly Elections 2019 took place on October 21 while counting of votes took place on October 24.

Tek Chand Sharma of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) had won the 2014 Haryana Assembly Elections from the Prithla seat, defeating Nayan Pal Rawat, who was earlier with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). For the Haryana polls 2019, the candidates from Prithla Vidhan Sabha also included Sohan Pal of the BJP, Surender of the BSP and Narender Singh of the INLD among others. The last date of filing nominations for the Haryana Vidhan Sabha polls was October 4. The last date for withdrawal of candidature was October 7. The ECI had used close to 1.3 lakh Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in Haryana elections.

Meanwhile, Assembly elections also simultaneously took place in Maharashtra. Voting for both Haryana and Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha polls took place on October 21. The results for polls in both states were announced on October 24.
