Results for the Pollachi Lok Sabha Constituency in Tamil Nadu has been declared by the Election Commission of India (ECI). Shanmugasundaram K of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) has won the seat. The counting of votes for the Pollachi Lok Sabha Constituency began at 8 AM on Thursday, May 23. This is one of the 39 Parliamentary constituencies in Tamil Nadu which went to poll on April 18.  The constituency was formed prior to the 1951 elections.

The constituency comprises of six legislative segments with one being reserved for the SC category and 1,017,811. In the run up to the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, the AIADMK has fielded its MP C Mahendran from the Pollachi seat. Mahendran is seeking re-election from his current constituency of Pollachi. In Tamil Nadu, the DMK-led alliance is facing an AIADMK-BJP-PMK-DMDK coalition in the upcoming polls.

All the 39 seats in Tamil Nadu will got to polls on April 18. The last day of filing nomination for the polls in March 26 while the last day of withdrawal of candidature is March 29.

In the 2014 Lok Sabha Polls, Nagarajan, Mahendran. C of the Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) party had won the Pollachi seat by defeating BJP candidate Eswaran.E.R. AIADMK candidate Mahendran had won the seat by 417,092 votes.
