New Delhi, August 26: Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rakhi sister, Qamar Mohsin Shaikh, who has been tying him rakhi for the past 24 years, maintained the tradition and tied a rakhi on the hands of Prime Minister on Sunday to celebrate the festival. Almost everything related to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's life is in public domain, but this piece of information is not known to many that PM Modi's rakhi sister Qamar Mohsin Shaikh is of Pakistani origin and has been living in India since her marriage.

Earlier on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed his monthly radio programme “Mann ki Baat” at 11 AM and shared his thoughts with the people of India and Indians abroad. In his radio programme on All India Radio on Sunday, the Prime Minister extended his greetings to the nation on the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan and spoke about the power of Sanskrit language and its link with the Indian culture.

PM Modi also assured justice to Muslim women through Triple Talaq Bill. While addressing the nation in the 47th edition of his 'Mann Ki Baat' radio programme, the Prime Minister said, "The Triple Talaq bill was passed in Lok Sabha, but could not be passed in the Rajya Sabha. But, I would like to assure Muslim women that the entire nation is there with them and we will ensure that they get justice."
