New Delhi, April 23: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will once again contest the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections from Varanasi, confirmed BJP President Amit Shah. The Prime Minister will also participate in a roadshow on April 25, a day before filing his nomination, said Amit Shah.

In the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, Prime Minister Modi had registered a huge victory from the Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency. However this time, there were speculation if the PM would fight from the same seat or not. Amit Shah has put an end to all those speculations.

There are also reports that Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will contest from the Varanasi seat on Congress seat. "Congress will soon take decision on whether Priyanka Gandhi will contest from Varanasi, said senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel on Tuesday. Polling in Varanasi will take place on May 19, in the last phase of Lok Sabha elections 2019.
