Tonk, February 23: With the assaults on Kashmiri students rising like wildfire as an aftermath of the Pulwama terror attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in support of the Kashmiris residing outside the state and condemned the attacks on them. He said that our fight is against terrorists, and not against the Kashmiris.
Addressing a gathering in Tonk district in Rajasthan on Saturday, PM said, "Our fight is against terrorism and the enemies of humanity. Condemning the brutal attacks on Kashmiri students and professionals working outside Kashmir, he said, "What happened a few days ago, whether the incident was big or small and what happened with Kashmiri students in various parts of India....this is not the matter. The matter is it should not have happened."

Earlier the Union Home Ministry issued a circular to all the states and the Union territories to ensure safety to the Kashmiris residing in those respective states. Even the MHRD and UGC sent notice to academic institutions to provide security to the Kashmiri students. Police have been given strict instruction to act on the fringe elements invoking misunderstanding and attacking the Kashmiri students.
