Mumbai, May 11: After the fierce election campaigns held by major political parties before the Model Code of Conduct comes in force in Karnataka state, the BJP's IT Cell in charge, Amit Malviya claimed that PM Narendra Modi has reached out to 25 lakh people of Karnataka through his 'NaMo' app alone. Malviya had earlier stated in his tweet that this communication strategy of PM Modi to engage with the grassroots party workers is a way of enthusing the cadre as well as keeping them informed about the government's work.

Meanwhile, in another tweet, he emphasised that BJP will win more than 130 seats in Karnataka, based on the feedback received from party workers and party network during campaigning.  Malviya added that the outreach of PM Modi will increase more during Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, which are set to be held in the year 2019. The app will help to increase the communication network further. Also, he claimed,"PM Modi is the first and only global leader to have adopted the unique video interactions through his own app."

Before the election rallies and campaigns kickstarted, Modi earlier held a video chat from his Delhi office with BJP Karnataka Party workers and candidates.  Meanwhile, he concluded his interaction with SC-ST and OBC workers on May 12, before leaving to Nepal for a two-day visit.

The 'NaMo' app currently has around 10 million subscribers and the tool has helped the BJP establish its network of communication for sure.
