New Delhi, June 25: Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached AIIMS on Sunday night to meet and get the health update of Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, without his security. It is not clear as to why Prime Minister Narendra Modi decided to leave behind his security and protocol but as per media reports, even AIIMS was caught unawares about the Prime Minister's visit. Bharat Ratna recipient and Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has been admitted to AIIMS for the past 14 days and also underwent dialysis a few days back.
Prime Minister left for AIIMS from his official residence, 7 Lok Kalyan Marg, and spent about 45 minutes at AIIMS. He spoke to the doctors and inquired about the former PM's health. Atal Bihari Vajpayee was admitted to AIIMS on June 11 and was kept on a ventilator for a few hours two days back.
Former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who was admitted in AIIMS on June 11, was said to be responding well to the treatment and may be discharged in a few days, AIIMS Director Dr Randeep Guleria had said while releasing the health bulletin of the former Prime Minister on June 13. However, the former PM continues to be in the hospital and according to doctors his health is stable.
Meanwhile, President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi received President of the Republic of Seychelles Danny Faure on Monday at the Rashtrapati Bhawan in Delhi.
