"I am astonished where did these bayan bahadurs (outspoken people) come from? Why are they creating obstacles? We should trust the Supreme Court, the Constitution and the judiciary of India. I request these people to trust the judiciary of India, for god’s sake," PM Modi said at a rally in Maharashtra’s Nashik. The Prime Minister's remarks came in the midst of increasing differences between the BJP and Shiv Sena over seat-sharing for the upcoming Assembly polls in Maharashtra.

On Monday, Uddhav Thackeray said that the government shouldn't wait for the court's order anymore in connection with the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. "We expect that the Centre should not wait for the court order and use its powers. The Centre took a courageous step in abrogating Article 370. It is our request that the Centre would do the same for Ram Mandir issue," Thackeray said. In Maharashtra, Haryana and Jharkhand, BJP Likely to Fight Assembly Elections Under Incumbent Chief Ministers.

"We have demanded a special law on Ram Mandir. We should not wait anymore. A special law should immediately be passed as it is getting delayed from the court," Shiv Sena chief added. Differences have emerged between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Shiv Sena over seat-sharing ahead of the Maharashtra polls. According to reports, the Shiv Sena wants an equal number of seats, whereas the BJP is keen to contest more number of seats than its ally.

In 2014, the BJP and Shiv Sena had failed to reach an agreement on the seat-sharing pact and contested polls without forming an alliance. While Shiv Sena had won 63 seats, the BJP had increased its tally to 123 seats.
