Prime Minister Narendra Modi has movable and immovable assets worth Rs 2.28 crore, according to latest information given out by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).
New Delhi, September 20: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has movable and immovable assets worth Rs 2.28 crore, according to latest information given out by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO). As per reports, the Prime Minister's cash-in-hand dropped by 67 per cent to Rs 48,944 as of March 31, 2018, from Rs 1,50,000 in the previous year while his financial assets have risen to Rs 2.28 crore from Rs 2 crore last year. Meanwhile, it is to be noted that PM Modi owns no car in his name.
The total assets include movable assets worth Rs 1,28,50,498 and the current market value of PM Modi's residential property in Gandhinagar worth Rs 1 crore. The PMO disclosure shows that Modi has a bank balance worth Rs 11,29,690 in State bank of India's (SBI) Gandhinagar NSCH Branch.
PM Narendra Modi's investments
PM Modi has invested Rs 1,07,96,288 in fixed deposits (FD) and Multi Option Deposit Scheme (MOD) at the SBI Gandhinagar NSCH Branch. He also has a life insurance (LIC) policy of Rs 1,59,281 as on March 31, 2018.
PM Modi has declared infrastructure bond deposits (tax saving) of Rs 20,000 dated January 25, 2012. He has also invested Rs 5,18,235 in National Saving Certificate (Post).
Jewellery
The latest disclosure shows that the Prime Minister has not bought any gold jewellery after taking over the PM office. His declared gold jewellery includes four pieces of gold rings, weighing approximately 45 grams worth Rs 1,38,060 as on March 31, 2018.
The declaration shows that PM Modi does not have a car or any other motor vehicle in his name.
