Jhunjhunu, December 11: The Election Commission of India (ECI) is expected to declare today the results of Rajasthan assembly elections 2018. As the counting of votes is underway to determine winners from all 200 seats across the state, LatestLY brings to you here the live result trends and updates from the following six constituencies: Pilani, Surajgarh, Jhunjhunu, Mandawa, Nawalgarh and Udaipurwati.
Pilani: Here, the BJP had replaced its incumbent legislator and 2-time MLA with Kailash Chand. The Congress had fielded JP Chandeliya, who emerged as the first runner-up in the last elections. Check the results and early trends here.
Surajgarh: The Congress had fielded its incumbent MLA from the seat, Shravan Kumar, who is being challenged in a three-cornered contest by BJP's Subhash Punia and BSP's Karamveer Yadav. Check the results here.
Jhunjhunu: The Congress had reposed faith from here in its sitting MLA Brijendra Singh Ola -- representing the constituency since 2008. The BJP candidate is Rajendra Singh Bhamboo. Check the live poll outcome here.
Mandawa: The incumbent MLA Narendra Kumar, who had contested independently in 2013, joined the BJP ahead of 2018 polls. He was fielded by the party from the same seat. The Congress challenger Rita Choudhary, who had emerged the first runner-up in the poll battle five years ago. She had then entered the electoral fray independently. Check the live results here.
Nawalgarh: A Congress, bastion, the party has re-fielded from here its two-time sitting MLA Rajkumar Sharma. The BJP candidate is Ravi Saini. Check the live updates of results here.
Udaipurwati: The BJP candidate here is the sitting MLA Shubhkaran Saini, who will take on Congress leader Bhagwana Ram Saini. Check the live results here.
In the above six seats, the Congress gained the upper hand in 2013, winning three seats, whereas, the BJP bagged two. One constituency was claimed by an independent candidate.
