Srinagar, November 21: The alliance between the opposition parties in Jammu and Kashmir to form a government has finally seen the light of day. As per to the latest information, Altaf Bukhari has been named as the Chief Ministerial candidate for the PDP-NC-Congress alliance. Also, there are speculation that Bukhari might contest against Sajjad Lone.

Earlier, the news broke that PDP leaders were not happy with possible alliance in the state. PDP lawmaker Muzaffar Baig had opined that the alliance would alienate people of Jammu and Ladakh.

Expressing his opinion on the issue, Baig said on Sunday, "How will Jammu react? It will be an all Muslim alliance, how will Ladakh react? These irresponsible talks will only lead to trifurcation of J&K. Ladakh and Jammu will not remain a part of the state which is ruled by only one community."

Making his point very clear that he doesn't support the trifucation, Baig said that the alliance will hurt the sentiments of Muslims people living in distant regions of Kashmir and Ladakh. Jammu And Kashmir May Come Under President's Rule at Expiry of Governor's Rule.

However, senior Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Ghulam Nabi Azad stated that the Valley will be benefited with the alliance. He opined, "We, parties, were of the opinion that we should unite and form a government. This is not stage to form a government, it's just a suggestion based on which talks are going on."

It is to be known that the alliance between PDP and BJP broke in the month of June and since then there is Governor's rule in the state.
