Bhopal, October 15: Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Minister PC Sharma on Tuesday made a controversial remark against Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya and Mathura MP Hema Malini. Mocking former state Chief Minister Shivraj Chauhan for his comparison of Madhya Pradesh roads with that of the United States, Sharma compared the state roads with the "cheeks" of BJP leaders. Speaking to reporters, Sharma stated, “How were the roads of Washington and New York looks like? Due to waterlogging, the condition of roads of the state are like cheeks of Vijayvargiya, but after 15-20 days the roads will become like the cheeks of Hema Malini.” On October 24, 2017, Chauhan had said in Washington DC "When I got down at Washington Airport and travelled on roads, I felt roads in Madhya Pradesh are better than US". Last month, Sharma alleged that BJP was behind “honey trap” racket to destabilise the state government. You can very well understand what conspiracy could have been behind such a development. Since the Congress returned to power, the BJP has been trying to destabilise the government,” reported NDTV quoting Sharma as saying. Five women and a man were arrested in Indore and Bhopal for allegedly running the racket.
