Mumbai, May 25: The Maharashtra state Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has been organising rallies and road shows to impress voters, ahead of the Palghar Lok Sabha by-elections, which will take place on May 28.  Interestingly CM Fadnavis, who is also considered to be one of the close confidants of PM Narendra Modi since both from the RSS Cadre, is following in the footprints of PM Modi. Fadnavis interacted with different intellectuals to woo the voters of Palghar yesterday. Similarly, PM Modi during the Karnataka State assembly elections also interacted with party workers, candidates and other through a video call earlier. The motive behind this interactive session is to reach out to the masses.

Following the same strategy, CM Fadnavis held samvad (Interaction) with different associations at Palghar yesterday. The interaction was with fishery associations, doctors, lawyers and groups working for disabled people and other professionals. The idea behind the interaction was to understand the various prevailing problems of the region, which have remained untouched till date. According to reports, CM Fadnavis answered all the questions raised by the intellectuals and assured them that his government would provide all necessary help.

The commonest questions asked by the intellectuals was about the rising number of chemical plants in their region. In return, CM replied,“People are against industries as they emit pollution. If it uses effluent plants, it will help to reduce pollution, and the views will also change," was quoted in news reports. He further added that state would transfer funds to the municipal council if it facilitates to install a common effluent plant for such project.

CM Fadnavis also addressed the questions on corruption during his samvad session with the intellectuals. Meanwhile, he also ensured that he would speak to Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari regarding the much-delayed project of Wadhvan port. The port is expected to generate employment opportunities in the region.
