Lucknow, January 29: Uttar Pradesh BJP chief Mahendra Nath Pandey made a derogatory remark while attacking the Samajwadi Party-Bahujan Samaj Party (SP-BSP) alliance on Monday. In a meeting with party cadres and supporters in Chandauli, Pandey issued a defamatory remark against BSP chief Mayawati, as he recalled the infamous guest house incident of 1995.
Quoting a crass conversation from social media, Pandey said a youth posted how SP president Akhilesh Yadav was gifting a shawl to his BSP counterpart on her 63rd birthday, celebrated earlier in the month. Reacting to the post, added Pandey, another youth commented it is the same shawl which was "taken down" by Akhilesh's father and SP founder Mulayam Singh Yadav at the guest house.
