Lucknow, May 20: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has sacked Om Prakash Rajbhar from his cabinet. Om Prakash Rajbhar, the president of the Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party (SBSP), holds the portfolio of backward class welfare and divyangjan empowerment in the council of ministers. Yogi Adityanath has recommended to Governor Ram Naik sacking of Rajbhar.

"The chief minister has requested Governor to dismiss Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party chief OM Prakash Rajbhar from Uttar Pradesh cabinet with immediate effect," the Chief Minister's Office said on Monday. It is believed that Rajbhar is expelled for supporting the Congress candidate in Mirzapur and SP-BSP-RLD alliance candidate in Maharajganj and Bansgaon. BJP's Estranged Ally Predicts Lok Sabha Elections Results 2019.

Reacting to his sacking, Rajbhar welcomed the decision and alleged that CM Yogi Adityanath had thrown report of the Social Justice Committee in dustbin. "We welcome his decision. CM has taken a very good decision. He formed the Social Justice Committee and threw its report in a dustbin. He didn't have spare time to implement it. I request him to implement the Social Justice Committee's report as quickly as he took this decision today," Rajbhar told ANI.

Earlier this month, Rajbhar had resigned from the state cabinet. His resignation, however, was not accepted. "I resigned as minister on April 13. It is up to the BJP to decide whether to accept or reject it. I have nothing to do with the government now," he told reporters on May 6. His party SBSP also fielded candidates in 39 constituencies in eastern Uttar Pradesh. National Approval Ratings: Mahagathbandhan to Win 50 Out of 80 Uttar Pradesh Seats in 2019 Lok Sabha Elections.

After casting his vote in Ballia in the last phase of Lok Sabha elections, Rajbhar predicted a "massive win" for the alliance of Samajwadi Party (SP), Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) in eastern Uttar Pradesh. "No party will get a majority in these elections. But in Purvanchal (eastern Uttar Pradesh), I feel that the mahagathbandhan (SP-BSP-RLD combine) will get a massive victory," he said.
