Mumbai, November 24: Missing NCP MLA Nitin Pawar appeared on Sunday and requested his family to not worry about him. He said that he is with Sharad Pawar, Ajit Pawar and Chhagan Bhujbal. Talking on speculations of him joining the BJP or supporting Devendra Fadnavis in the floor test, Nitin Pawar said that he is with the NCP but did not specify his position. Nitin Pawar is an MLA from the Kalwan Vidhan Sabha seat. A missing complaint was lodged by the son of the MLA. The legislator has now given a message to his family.

Merely hours after the BJP made a surprise comeback to power in Maharashtra, a missing complaint was filed at a police station for the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MLA on Saturday. Also, a missing complaint was filed for NCP MLA Daulat Daroda, by former MLA Pandurang Barora filed the missing complaint at Shahapur Police Station in Thane on Saturday evening. Daroda is an MLA from Shahapur constituency. The dramatic turn of events in the state came at a time when deliberations among Congress, NCP and Shiv Sena on the formation of a non-BJP government in Maharashtra had seemingly reached the final stage on Friday.

Security has been tightened outside three luxury hotels in Mumbai where MLAs of the NCP, Congress and Shiv Sena have been kept to thwart any poaching attempts, police said on Sunday. The three parties shifted their MLAs to different hotels in the city after BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis was on Saturday sworn in as the chief minister along with NCP's Ajit Pawar as his deputy.
