New Delhi, May 30: Outgoing Union Minister Nitin Gadkari took oath as Minister in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's cabinet for the second consecutive term on Thursday. With this, he has become the key minister in PM Modi's Cabinet second time in a row.

Nitin Gadkari fought the 17 Lok Sabha Election 2019 from Nagpur against Congress' Nana Patole with a margin of 2,16,009 votes. In 2014 too, Gadkari won this seat with a margin of 2,84,848 votes.

Considering the successful work in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Gadkari is most likely to retain the post. Along with the Road Transport ministry, Gadkari has held the Ministry of Shipping and Minister of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation.

Now with the track record in place and his relations with PM Narendra Modi, It would be interesting to see how Gadkari would work in the Modi 2.0 as Union minister.
