With the conclusion of seventh and final phase of Lok Sabha elections 2019, the exit poll results were declared by major research agencies along with TV news channels. According to News24-Chanakya, the BJP-led NDA is predicted to win 336 seats, almost the same as 2014. Meanwhile, the Congress headed by UPA is likely to be restricted in 91 constituencies. Others are expected to win around 115 parliamentary segments.

The predictions, based on the post-election surveys, are likely to give an indicator on the pattern of outcome to emerge on May 23, when the actual results will be declared by the Election Commission of India (ECI). News channel News 24-Today's Chanakya claims that it has based its exit polls figures after undertaking a large number of samples. News 24 is a 24X7 Hindi news channel and has a track record of conducting exit polls, for both Parliamentary and assembly elections.

The seven-phase Lok Sabha elections ended on Sunday, with voting being concluded at around 6pm in 59 constituencies contested in the final round. Overall, the polls were held in 542 constituencies spread across 29 states and 7 union territories.

The Election Commission had announced on March 10 that voting for Lok Sabha Elections 2019 would take place in seven phases beginning from April 11 to May 19. The results are expected to be out on May 23, the scheduled date. A record number of 900 million voters exercised their right to vote in the Indian General Elections 2019 or Lok Sabha Elections 2019.
