Mumbai, May 14: The first four phases of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 have concluded in Maharashtra. Polling on 35 out of Maharashtra's 48 Lok Sabha seats is done. The remaining 13 seats will go to polls in the fifth phase on May 20. Following the voting in past four phases, reports emerged that voters were confused between the two NCP (Nationalist Congress Party of Ajit Pawar and Sharad Pawar's NCP-Sharadchandra Pawar). A section of supporters of Sharad Pawar's party still think that its election symbol is "clock". However, it no longer belongs to the NCP of Sharad Pawar faction. So who is contesting under "clock" and "trumpet" symbols?

Following the split of the NCP, the Election Commission held that the NCP of Ajit Pawar faction is the "real" NCP or Nationalist Congress Party. Sharad Pawar's group was allotted the title "Nationalist Congress Party-Sharadchandra Pawar" as its party name. While holding Ajit Pawar's NCP as the "real" NCP, the EC also gave the "clock" election symbol to the faction. Subsequently, the NCP faction of Sharad Pawar was allotted the "trumpet" symbol. Supriya Sule Alleges EVM Strong Room's CCTV Cameras Turned Off for 45 Minutes in Baramati Lok Sabha Constituency, Shares Video.
