New Delhi, December 16:  Punjab minister Navjot Singh Sidhu has been issued a Rs  1,000 crore defamation notice by Zee News "for his defamatory and false allegations against Zee Media" said the media company in its statement on Saturday. Sidhu has been asked to apologise within 24 hours of receiving the legal notice, said reports. Zee News claims that a video was released last week by the channel which showed pro Pakistan slogans like "Pakistan Zindabad" raised at Sidhu's election rally in Rajasthan. However, after the video was shared by Zee News, Congress leaders called the video as 'fake'. Navjot Singh Sidhu had even warned the channel that he would file a defamation suit against those running fabricated videos of him during the Rajasthan rally. But as of December 15, the channel filed a defamation case against Sidhu. Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu is yet to react on the defamation case filed against him by Zee news.
