New Delhi, December 30: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday took to Twitter using the hashtag #IndiaSupportsCAA and asked people not to believe in any rumours. PM further urged people to check the hashtag and search on NaMo App for any content, graphics, videos and other relevant information about Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).

BJP has used the hashtag to burst a few myths around CAA on Twitter. One of which says 'Citizenship Amendment Act 2019 CAA does not dilute the sanctity of Assam Accord as far as the cut-off date detection/deportation of illegal migrants is concerned.'

In another tweet, BJP has attempted to burst another myth, where it says 'Myth Buster: Citizenship Amendment Act 2019 Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) is applicable to the whole country. Persons facing religious persecution are not settled only in Assam. They are staying in other parts of the country as well.'

BJP has formed the 'Jan Jagran Abhiyan' to dispel rumours about CAA. With the help of these committees, the party wants to send across the message that CAA was introduced in the country keeping in mind the national interest. BJP has therefore decided to hold 250 press conferences, rallies and Sampark Abhiyan to make people aware of the positive side of CAA and why it is important for a nation like India.
