New Delhi, May 26: Narendra Modi will take oath as the 15th Prime Minister of India on May 30. The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to take place at 7 pm in Rashtrapati Bhawan. Along with PM Modi, Union Council of Ministers will also take oath. President Ram Nath Kovind will administer the swearing-in ceremony. Yesterday, Modi was appointed as the PM of the country after Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) delegation handed over a letter of support to the President.
On May 26, PM Modi was elected as the leader of the NDA. He also chaired the NDA parliamentary meet which was held at Sansad Bhawan in New Delhi. During his address, he said that India voted for pro-incumbency in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The saffron party recorded a landslide victory in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The NDA secured 352 seats, out which the saffron party bagged 303 seats. The Congress on the other side failed to left any mark in these elections. The Congress-led United Progressive Alliance managed to bag only 91 seats, out of which, the grand old party remained victorious only on 52 seats.
