Durgapur, February 2: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday launched a scathing attack on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee during his rally in Durgapur. Taking a dig at the West Bengal CM over a ban on the Central Investigation Agency in the state, PM Modi stated that why Banerjee was afraid of the agency if she had done nothing wrong. He further added that he would continue his fight against black money.

The PM also stated that Banerjee would not come to power in the next elections in the state. He said, “I used to think that Didi who has herself suffered a lot during Left regime will not walk on the same path, but I was surprised that she adopted the same tactics. You can take this from me in writing 'Inka jaana tae hai'”

The Prime Minister hailed the interim budget presented by Union Minister Piyush Goyal on Friday and termed it as beneficial for all sections of society. He said, “What is 'Sabka Saath Sabka Vikaas' is evident in this ( interim budget 2019), it has something for every section of society.” Stampede-Like Situation at BJP's Thakurnagar Rally, PM Narendra Modi Cuts Short Speech.

PM Modi apologised for the stampede-like situation occurred during his rally in Thakurnagar earlier in the day in which several people were injured. He stated that there was a lot of enthusiasm during my rally in Thakurnagar, and I think the ground was filled twice its capacity. During the Thakurnagar rally, the PM had to cut short his speech after a stampede-like situation arose. He spoke for just 14 minutes. His speech was disrupted when a huge crowd tried to enter the venue which was not big enough for the well-attended event.
