The primary stakeholders in the 2018 elections are Telugu Desam Party, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), Indian National Congress (INC), Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M). The 2018 Assembly Polls will be necessary for the parties involved, as it will be the stepping stone for them to leverage it to the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.

Narayanpet

It is the 73rd constituency of Telangana. In the 2014 Assembly Elections, it was TDP’s Rajender Reddy who won the seat by defeating TRS’ Shivakumar Reddy by a narrow margin. In 2009 too, it was a TDP candidate, Yelkoti Yella Reddy, who won in the constituency.

Mahbubnagar

It is the 74th constituency in Telangana. In 2014, it was Srinivas Goud of TRS who won the seat, as he defeated Yennam Srinivas Reddy of the BJP in a close fight. However, in 2009, it was Yennam Srinivas who had defeated TRS’ Ibrahim Syed in a nail-biting finish.

Jadcherla

It is the 75th constituency of Telangana. In the 2014 Assembly Elections, it was TRS’ Charlakola Laxma Reddy who beat Congress’ Mallu Ravi convincingly. Jadcherla has been a TDP bastion more or less in the past years, with Congress and TRS getting lucky at sometimes.

Devarkadra

It happens to be the 76th constituency in Telangana. In 2014, it was Alla Venkateshwar Reddy of TRS who won the Devarkadra seat, as he beat Pavan Kumar of the Congress by a fair margin. It will be a three-way fight between TDP, TRS and Congress.

Makthal

It is the 77th constituency of Telangana. In the 2014 Assembly Elections, it was Chittem Ram Mohan Reddy of the Congress party which won back then, defeating TRS’ Yellkoti Yella Reddy.

Wanaparthy

It is the 78th seat of Telangana. In Wanaparthy, Congress’ Dr G Chinna Reddy won the seat during the 2014 Assembly Elections, by defeating Singireddy Niranjan Reddy in a close finish. In 2009, it was TDP’s Ravula Chandra Shekhar who had won in the constituencies.
