Nagaland went to polls on February 27, 2018. The Election Commission of India (ECI) will oversee the counting process that will begin at 8 a.m., today. There was a total of 75% voter turnout in the state. The House in Nagaland, which comprises of 60 seats, will see voting on 59 seats this time. It is all set to get dissolved on March 13. T. R. Zeliang is the current chief minister of the state. Nagaland People Front (NPF), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Indian National Congress (INC) are the three main parties, amongst which, there will be a winner in the Assembly Elections.

In the previously held 2013 Assembly Elections, the NPF won the majority by bagging 38 seats. On second place were both, INC and Independent candidates as they both won 8 seats. National Congress Party (NCP) won 4 seats in 2013, whereas BJP and Janata Dal-United (JDU) could manage to win 1 seat each. The results for the 2018 Nagaland Assembly Elections are going to be out soon, and it will be interesting to see, which party wins in Zunheboto district.
