Alwar, December 11: Pollsters have their eyes set on the election results in Alwar district of Rajasthan - arguably one of the most communally polarised region. As the counting of votes is underway, LatestLY brings to you here the live updates of trends and results emerging from the following six assembly (vidhan sabha) constituencies of the district: Mundawar, Behror, Bansur, Thanagazi, Alwar Rural and Alwar Urban.
Mundawar: From this seat, the BJP has repeated the candidature of its senior leader and 3-time MLA Major Dharampal Choudhary. The Congress had ceded the seat for its ally - Sharad Yadav's Loktantrik Janata Dal -- which had fielded Bharat Yadav. Catch the fastest result updates here.

Thanagazi: Incumbent legislator Hem Singh Bhadana is another Cabinet Minister who was denied ticket by the BJP. He was replaced with Rohitash Kumar, the former MLA of Bansur. Meanwhile, the Congress has fielded Sunil Kumar. Check the live results here.

Alwar Urban: In a shock decision ahead of the polls, the BJP had here replaced its incumbent MLA and firebrand leader Banwari Lal Singhal with Sanjay Sharma. The Congress, meanwhile, has fielded Narendra Sharma. Check the live trends and results here.
In the single-phase elections held last week, a voter turnout of 74.21 per cent was recorded by the Election Commission. The exit polls, which were released shortly after the polls, were firm on BJP's rout.
