Mumbai, September 26: With Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president Sharad Pawar offering to suo moto 'present' himself at the Enforcement Directorate office on September 27, Mumbai Police have issued prohibitory orders under sections 144 CrPC in various places of the metropolitan city. Issuing the information through the social media network -- Twitter -- Mumbai Police stated that prohibitory orders had been issued u/s 144 CrPC for seven locations of the city. They include Colaba PS, Cuffe Parade PS, Marine Drive PS, Azad Maidan PS, Dongri PS, JJ Marg PS and MRA Marg PS. All these police stations come under Ballard Pier in south Mumbai, where ED office is located. After the restrictions, people would not be allowed for unlawful assembly.

Earlier in the day, NCP chief stated that he would 'present' himself at the Enforcement Directorate office on Friday, which was turned down by ED. Pawar has been accused of scam for Maharashtra state Cooperative Bank case where loans amounting to Rs 25,000 crore were allegedly given to various people. The ED had alleged the norms were flouted by Pawar while sanctioning the loans.
