Bhopal, November 25: As Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections are drawing closer, candidates are trying their best to woo voters. Sharad Singh Kumar from Rashtriya Aamjan Party whose election symbol is a shoe is campaigning in a very unique way. Kumar polishes shoes of people ahead of the elections in the state to get votes. He said, “It was a free poll symbol that no one was willing to take. We took it & we will turn it into a blessing." The Rashtriya Aamjan Party leader is contesting from a constituency in Bhopal.
The state is going for elections on November 28, and the result will be declared on December 11. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will try to retain power for the fourth consecutive time, whereas the Congress is hoping to gain the majority in the house after 15 years. According to ABP News-CSDS Lokniti survey, the BJP will defy 15 years of anti-incumbency and will form the government for the fourth consecutive time. However, this time the margin of seats will be very less. The BJP is likely to get 116 seats, while the Congress is expected to get 105 seats in the 230-seat assembly.
