New Delhi, November 28: The Congress parliamentary meeting took place at Central Hall in Parliament on Thursday. Talking about government formation strategy taken by BJP in Maharashtra, Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi said, "Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) made shameless efforts in Maharashtra. Profit-making Public Sector Undertakings (PSU) are being sold to Narendra Modi's friends."
On the occasion of Constitution Day on Tuesday, Congress held a protest outside the Parliament opposing the government formation by BJP in Maharashtra. Tables have turned, and Devendra Fadavis resigned from the post of Chief Minister because he didn't have the numbers to prove his majority and form a government.
Uddhav Thackeray will be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra at 6:30 pm today. Gandhi on being asked if she will participate in the swearing-in ceremony of Thackeray being held today, she said that it has not been decided. Further criticising the Narendra Modi government, Sonia Gandhi spoke about how the Narendra Modi government is taking away the fundamental rights of citizens when talking about the WhatsApp breach issue. She highlighted on some other issues like how political leaders of India were not allowed in Jammu & Kashmir but some European MPs were, it was a shameful act by Narendra Modi and Amit Shah, referring to abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.
