ML Khattar Takes Oath as Haryana Chief Minister For 2nd Time, Dushyant Chautala Sworn-In as Deputy CM

With their letters of support, the Chief Minister had on Saturday staked claim for government formation. He has been provided a time-period of two weeks by the Governor to prove his majority in the House.
Chandigarh, October 27: Less than 48 hours after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) sealed their alliance in Haryana, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar took oath to Office on Sunday. The swearing-in ceremony was administered by Haryana Governor Satyadev Narayan Arya. Along with Khattar, Dushyant Chautala of the JJP was sworn-in as the Deputy CM. The 31-year-old Chautala scion would be presiding over a constitutional post for the first time in his nascent political career. A couple of more legislators from his party -- formed in December 2018 -- will be inducted in the Khattar 2.0 Ministry. No other ministers to be inducted in the government took oath today.
The list of Ministers to be included in the Khattar Cabinet is expected to be declared in the next couple of days. They would be administered oath to office later by the Governor.

In the results of Haryana assembly elections 2019 declared on Thursday, the BJP faced a setback as the party lost its majority status. From 47 seats before the polls, it was reduced to 40 -- five less than the halfway mark.
