Counting is underway in Telangana.

Counting of Telangana Assembly Election 2018 has begun. The result of the state along with four others will be declared shortly. The Legislative Assembly of Telangana consists of 119 seats. Voting for constituencies including Medchal, Malkajgiri, Quthbullapur, Kukatpally, Uppal and Ibrahimpatnam was held on December 7 in the state. Medchal: Kichannagari Laxma Reddy who won in 2009 on Congress ticket has been fielded by the party again. P Mohan Reddy and Chamakura MallaReddy are the faces of BJP and TRS parties respectively in the constituency. Check Medchal live updates here.

In Telangana, the prominent regional party Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has been a tough competition to the Indian National Congress (INC).
